Let's all do our part to be sure we can LET THE KIDS PLAY. We know these virus containment requirements can be inconvenient and difficult to accept or understand, however flag football is really about the kids and THEIR season. Our field usage is at the discretion of Farmington Recreation. Therefore, this late week messages is another reminder on the Farmington Recreation requirements below as we head into Week 3 practices and games.
Farmington Recreation Reopening Guidelines for Recreational Sports
Staff and/or volunteers should assist with crowd control by reminding spectators to maintain social distancing when queuing at the gate or other common areas. Spectator compliance with social distancing should be encouraged through periodic announcements or audio recordings if available.
Individuals shall not congregate in common areas or parking lots following an event or practice. Strategies should be developed that will avoid large crowds at exits, such as dismissing crowds by section if applicable.
PERSONAL PROTECTION FOR COACHES/STAFF/ATHLETES
Event organizers, staff, coaches, players, volunteers, umpires/officials are required to wear a face mask or cloth face covering when unable to easily, continuously, and measurably keep 6 ft of physical distance from others as required by the State of Connecticut. Athletes are encouraged to wear face coverings when not engaged in active play. While engaged in the active play of sports or strenuous activities, athletes do not need to wear a face covering. However, athletes should wear face masks at all other times.
PERSONAL PROTECTION FOR SPECTATORS
Spectators shall be required wear facemasks or cloth face coverings that completely cover the nose and mouth as required by the State of Connecticut.
It is expected that all event organizers, staff, coaches, players, volunteers, umpires/officials bring their own hand sanitizer and sanitize at the start, during breaks and at the conclusion of practices and games.
