COACH MACHOL’S FOOTBALL SKILLS CAMP
Entering Grade 5 - 9
In this non-contact skills camp lead by the FHS Varsity Football Coach Chris Machol, players can expect to be taught the fundamentals of football. Skill positions covered include Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, Tight Ends, Linebackers, and Defensive Backs. Campers will be placed in developmentally appropriate groups based on size, strength, skill and experience. Each session will include individual station work, team periods, and contests/competitions.
COACH SOLLAZZO’S LINE CAMP, Entering Grades 5 - 12
Players can expect to learn the fundamentals of Defensive and Offensive line play. The Offensive Line Session will focus on stance, footwork, and blocking and protection. The Defensive Line Session will focus on stance, alignments, stunting, pass rush and more!

Featuring NFL Alumni Heroes (former NY Giants) like Stephen Baker, Rodney Hampton, Bart Oates, Odessa Turner and Perry Williams.
Week 2: July 10-14, 2017
Taught by the coaches who led KO's football team to the Mike Atkins Bowl win and the 2015 N.E.P.S.A.C title, this camp will offer comprehensive, non-contact instruction in football fundamentals in a fun and energetic environment. Campers will learn crucial offensive and defensive skills and techniques. All basics will be covered using a series of drills to improve passing, catching, blocking, tackling, and running. Campers will participate in dynamic warm-ups, fundamental development, and 7-on-7 games.
The week will culminate in a one-of-a-kind showcase day, where campers will be able to show off their new-found skills during contests and gameplay. Campers should bring sneakers, cleats, t-shirt and shorts, and a water bottle.
For students entering grades 5-9. Minimum enrollment 16; maximum enrollment 32.
Program runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Cost: $475; Early Bird Discount $425 until March 15
Coach: Jason Martinez has been KO's Head Football Coach since 2011 and brings over 18 years of coaching experience to Camp KO. Under his guidance and direction players have gone on to play at BCS, FBS, and Pro levels. In 2008, Coach Martinez beat the number one ranked team in the state of Connecticut, snapping Ansonia High Schools 36 game win streak. In addition, Coach Martinez coached in the Connecticut Football All-star game versus Rhode Island “Governor’s Cup” for five years. He served as the secondary coach and special teams’ coordinator. Coach Martinez also coaches at various football camps around the country with aspirations of impacting as many young lives as possible. His determination to become a better coach has never been so evident. In 2015, the Kingswood Oxford Football team won their first New England Championship in school history. His commitment to excellence and perfection is what separates this coach from the rest. Coach Martinez graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in physical education with a cross-endorsement in health.
